Happy New Year 2009!

Happy New Year! Whew- what a year 2008 was; a new home, a new baby, Tommy's call to preach, and Jessica the opportunity to work with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta once again. It was a wonderful year- we just can not believe it has already past. We found out we were expecting in February of 2008, moved on Bolton Road in April, Jessica returned to CHOA in May, Tommy announced his calling in July, and Claira Rose was born in October.

We always thought around 5 years of marriage we would love to have some little ones around the house. Well, the Lord works in mysterious ways and to the date of our 5th wedding anniversary, Claira was born October 25th, 2008. She was due on October 28th, but she decided she had enough after mom working a 12 hour shift and sent us to the hospital Friday evening around mid-night. Then early Saturday morning she entered this world at 5:10am weighing 7lbs 3oz and measuring 21in long. We were blessed with an uncomplicated pregnancy and an overall great experience in the labor & delivery room.

Go Dawgs!

Now as we enter 2009, Claira is 10 weeks old and doing great. Her last doctor visit she weighed 11lbs 15oz and measured 24in long. We could have not asked for a better year- what a blessing it was. Hope you enjoy all the pics and we'll be sure to keep it updated to share all of Claira's accomplishments! Love you all.

WOW, what a year! Mine was similarly busy but no beautiful little girl to show for it! She is absolutely gorgeous and I am sure you and Tommy are smitten by her beauty. Her 10 week picture is amazingly gorgeous. I would love to meet her in person. Congratulations and a Happy 2009 to you, Tommy, Claira Rose, all the dogs and cats.

Congratualations! She's gorgeous. I loved her Christmas photo. But it's too bad she has to wear UGA onesies. I have lots of girl hand me downs so you can dress her more appropriately:)
